Luke Skywalker is one of the main characters in the original Star Wars trilogy, minor characters in the prequel and Rebels, and a major characters in the sequel Star Wars trilogy.
Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of Sith: Luke and Leia are born on Polis Massa to Anakin Skywalker and Padme Skywalker after the fall of the Galactic Republic. Anakin fall to the dark side as Darth Vader. Padme pass away after giving birth to Luke and Leia. Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda have to take Luke and Leia apart from each other. Bail Organa adopt Leia as his daughter while Obi Wan take Luke to Owen Lars and Beru Lars on Tatooine. Obi Wan or Ben spend his time in exile on Tatooine watching over Luke until Luke is ready to face the Galactic Empire. Luke work at farm believing that his father was a navigator in the Clone Wars by his uncle. Luke is unhappy of being a farmer as many of friends, who called him “wormie”, left the planet to join the rebel like Biggs Darklighter. Luke can as pilot when when he was 13. Owen and Beru see Anakin in him and Owen need him on harvest day.
Star Wars Rebels: Obi Wan watch Luke return his house after his aunt called him over. Before he saw Luke, Obi Wan have battle Darth Maul, an old enemy since the day he first defeated that sith at Naboo after the sith wounded Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan’s teacher. Obi Wan tell Darth Maul before his death that Luke is the chosen one and Maul say that Luke will avenge both the Jedi and him.
Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope: Jawas change Luke’s life when they are selling droid. Owen buy 3PO and the red R2, but the red R2 broke down, so Luke bought R2-D2. R2-D2 have Leia’s message to Obi Wan for her hope. Luke say that Ben live somewhere and want know who Leia is. At dinner, Luke tell Owen about Ben, Owen change the topic and Breu know there is Anakin in Luke. R2-D2 left at night to find Ben and Luke and 3PO follow R2-D2. Luke and 3PO found R2-D2 move toward to a dangerous path. Luke spot a group of Tusken Raiders. One of the Tusken Raider attack Luke, the droid hide since they can’t help Luke. Obi Wan appear scare the Raiders off with Kyayi Dragon roar to save Luke. Obi Wan tell Luke, 3PO, and R2-R2 that he hasn’t called Obi Wan since Luke was born and the Tusken Raider will return in greater number. The three stay at Obi Wan’s house. Obi wan told about the Jedi, his father being taken down by Vader, and give him a lightsaber, owned by Anakin. Obi Wan see what is in R2-D2, his message from Leia is played. Obi Wan want Luke to Alderaan with 3PO and R2-D2, but Luke can take them to Anchorhead. The group discovery Jawas remain, the stormtroopers are looking for the droids. Luke went home, only to see that stormtroopers found his uncle and aunt, so Luke went with Obi Wan, 3PO, and R2-D2 at Mos Eisley, learn how to be a Jedi like him father. At Mos Eisley, Obi Wan trick the stormtroopers into not finding a droids and the troopers left. Luke and Obi Wan leave R2-D2 and 3PO behind as Chalumin’s Cantina don’t serve droids. Luke run into Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba that dislike him for no reason and Obi Wan swing one of the person’s hand out. Obi Wan take Luke to Han Solo and Chewbacca for the travel ship. Obi Wan and Luke agree to pay Han and Chewbacca 17,000 credits when they arrive to Alderaan. On their way to the Millennium Falcon, the fastest ship in the galaxy, the group are attacked by stormtrooper. Obi Wan train Luke to use their force and the lightsaber. Han don’t believe in the force after Luke ask him. Obi Wan feel the force of destruction of Alderaan by the Death Star. The Falcon bring them to what is left of Alderaan and the Death Star. The Falcon avoid the tie-fighters that is sent by the Empire. The ship is pulled to space station where the Empire pull a tracker on Falcon. Obi Wan went to deactivate the tractor beam, so that the Falcon can escape the Death Star while Luke, Han, Chewbacca, 3PO, and R2-D2 found Leia in one of detention cell. Luke went to save Leia as the empire will execute her, but Han refuse. Luke convict Han that Leia is rich and that reward will be credits. Han agree to give the credits. Luke and Han plan to “capture” Chewbacca. On their way to rescue Leia, Luke and Han shot the Death Star worker. Han distract the Empire while Luke rescue Leia in her cell. Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewbacca jump in the garbage compactor to prevent captives by the stormtrooper. Luke got dragged by Dianoga at the garbage compactor. R2-D2 shut down all the garbage compactor free the heroes from being crashed. When the team walk back to the Falcon, 3PO and R2-D2, Han and Leia argue over credits. Luke and Leia made it back while Han and Chewbacca chase the stormtrooper. Obi Wan and Darth Vader duel their final battle since the duel on Mustafar. Obi Wan pass away to save Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, 3PO, and R2-D2 from Vader. Luke is sadden by the death of Obi Wan, Leia comforts Luke when a group of tie-fighters follow the Falcon. Luke and Han take on the tie-fighters. The Falcon travel to the rebel base in Yavin 4. The Death Star follow the Falcon to the Yavin 4. Luke finally join the rebel alliance when Leia introduce him to Commander Willard. Wedge Antilles have him on the red group. Luke is prepared for the battle of Yavin. Han want to leave the rebel to pay Jabba the Hutt back the credits he own Jabba with Chewbacca and Luke is upset that Han is leaving. Luke met Biggs again and after the battle, they will tell each other stories. Luke and the other battle the tie-fighters at the Death Star. Biggs is hit by the tie-fighter. Han enter late in the battle of Yavin to distract Vader from firing at Luke. Obi Wan tell Luke to use the force. Luke did use the force to fire a proton torpedoes in the weakness of the Death Star. The Death Eater is destroyed and Obi Wan force spirit tell Luke that the force is always with him. The rebels celebrate their victory over the Empire. Luke, Han, and Chewbacca is awarded by Leia with the medal of Bravery.
Star Wars Episode V: Empire Strike Back: Now a Lieutenant, Luke investigate a meteor at Hoth before returning to the Echo Base where the rebels are. Luke was under attacked by a yeti-like creature, Wampa. Luke free himself from the ice in the cave and slice the hand of Wampa. Exit the cave, Luke got exhausted on his way back to the Echo Base. Obi wan appear to tell Luke to finish his teaching on Dagobah with Yoda. Han found Luke and use his animal’s body to keep him warn before the other find them. Luke is taken to the bacta tank and recover. Han and Leia argue again in front of Luke and Chewbacca. The rebels are prepared to leave as the Empire found the base. A group of rogue Squadron blast at the base and the rebels. Luke and Dak Ralter fire at the Squadron and bring one down. Luke use his lightsaber at the walker after Dak is down. Luke and R2-D2 fly to Dagobah. Arrive at Dagobah, his ship sink in the swamp along with R2-D2. The duo look for Yoda. Luke found Yoda first as the Yoda look at his bag for the flashlight. Yoda and R2-D2 fight over the flashlight until Luke tell the droid to let Yoda have it. Yoda let Luke to his house for his stew that he made. Yoda find Luke like Anakin. Obi Wan tell Yoda to teach Luke and Yoda did. Yoda teach Luke on Dagobah like running with carrying him, use the force on the rock, and balance the rock and Yoda. Yoda tell Luke to “Do or don’t do, there is no try.” Luke manage to take the Elephoth to the young after the animal disturbed the teaching. Luke feel the force of Leia and Han in danger at Bespin. Yoda and Obi Wan refuse to let Luke go worrying that he will fall to the dark side like Anakin did. Luke promise to complete his teaching once he return to Dagobah. Luke arrive at Bespin to rescue Han and Leia only to find it a trap, he avoid Boda Fitt and pursue the stromtroopers that have Leia, 3PO, and Chewbacca. Luke walk into the chamber where Vader is waiting for him. Luke duel with Vader and did not fall into the chamber to be carbonite him for Darth Sidious, the Emperor. Vader slice Luke’s hand causing him to lose a lightsaber. Vader reveal he is Luke’s father and seduce him to the dark side. Luke fall into the weather vane. Leia, Lando, Chewbacca, and 3PO take the Falcon to save Luke from falling. Luke now have a prosthetic hand to replace his lost hand. Luke and Leia watch as Lando, Chewbacca, 3IO, and R2-D2 fly to Tatooine for Han.
Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi: Luke build a new lightsaber after losing the old one at Bespin and became a Jedi knight. R2-D2 sent a massage to Jabba to release Han. Jabba refuse as he like to keep Han where he is now. Luke walk to Jabba’s place, knocking down the guard using the force choke. Luke demand a bargain to release Han, Chewbacca, Leia, and the droids as he can’t mind trick Jabba. Luke fell into the trap door where a Rancor hunt him down. Luke use the door on the Rancor. Unimpressed, Jabba order Luke, Han, and Chewbacca to be eaten by the Skiff. Luke demand Jabba to free them or die. The rebels battle the group into the Skiff. Luke use his green lightsaber on the Jabba’s gang. Leia use his chain on Jabba. Luke and the other left Tatooine. Luke fly to Dagobah to complete his training only to see Yoda pass away, Yoda wish Luke to create a new Jedi order since he’s now the last Jedi, but told him of another Skywalker. Luke confront Obi Wan about Anakin being Vader. Obi Wan told him about Anakin, his fall to the dark side, Padma, and Leia being his twin sister. The rebels fly to Endor as a second Death Star is built. Luke feel Vader is there in Executor think that mission will be endangered. Luke and Leia pursue a scout troopers on speeder bikers. The troopers is down, but Luke lost Leia when her speeder bikes hit the tree. Luke, Han, Chewbacca, 3PO, and R2-D2 search for Leia on the forest encounter a tribe of Ewoks. Ewoks see 3PO as a God to them. The rebels team up with Ewoks to fight off the Empire. Luke tell Leia about their family and confront Vader and the Emperor alone. Luke try to get Vader back to the light side, Vader take Luke to see the Emperor Sidious for his training. Sidious make Luke to use his anger like he did to Vader. Luke and Vader duel again while the rebels and the Ewoks fight off the Empire. Luke and Vader swing their lightsaber at each other. Vader plan to use his daughter, Leia, to anger Luke again. Luke slice off Vader’s prosthetic arm. Sidious watch this and tell Luke to finish off his father to take his place. Luke refuse as he’s a Jedi like his father before him. Sidious fire the force lightning as he tell Luke that he will be destroyed if he have not turned. Anakin pick up his former teacher and throw him tot he reactor. Anakin’s suit is damaged by the force lightning. As the rebels fire at the core, Luke take Anakin to safely. Anakin pass out finish his prophecy as the chosen one. The rebels celebrate the victory over the Empire while honor his father by cremating his armor. The Empire dissolved after the battle in Jakku. Luke visit Lor San Tekka who believe that a new Jedi Order will balance the force. Luke create a new Jedi order training new Padawan inducing Ben Solo. Snoke subdue Ben to the First Order. Ben now Kylo Ren ruin the new Jedi with the knight of Ren.
Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awaken: Luke feel responsible of what happened and exile himself to Ahch-To for find the first Jedi Temple. R2-D2 have most off the map for Luke. Lor have a fraction of the map to hide it from the First Order. The First Order is preventing anyone to find Luke and return the Jedi. Poe Dameron get the map from Lor where the First Order attack. Poe take the map to BB-8 and is taken to the First Order. Rey and Finn take BB-8 to the Resistance. Han and Chewbacca help the duo on their way to the Resistance. Maz Kanata hold Luke’s lost lightsaber and given to Rey and Finn. Finn use the lightsaber against his former trooper while Rey use the lightsaber against the battle with Kylo Ren in the Star-killer Base. BB-8 and R2-D2 competed the map that led to Ahch-To. Rey and Chewbacca fly the Falcon to the Ahch-To. Luke is standing when Rey arrive and give out his lightsaber. Luke pull out his hood and stare at Rey.
Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi: Luke look at his lightsaber and toss it away. Rey follow Luke but Luke want her to leave the Planet. Rey refuse to Ahch-To as Luke is the galaxy’s hope to defeat the First Order as the Resistance is losing members. Luke explain that he can to Ahch-To for became the one with the force and it’s time for the Jedi to end. As Rey, Chewbacca and R2-D2 stay at the planet for a while, Luke visit the Falcon. Luke run into R2-D2 that play the holograph of Leia asking Obi Wan to help her to make Luke change his mind and teach Luke the way to use the force. Luke teach Rey to use the force and the lightsaber that is own by him and Anakin before Rey unaware that Rey is secretly interact with Kylo Ren/Ben with the force. Luke told Rey his story of how Kylo Ren turn to the dark side. Once Luke discover that Rey is interacting with Kylo, he angrily tell Rey to leave Ahch-To, Rey did after arguing about Kylo’s point of view of what happen to the Luke’s New Jedi Order and Luke refuse to believe that Kylo is still good. After Rey left, Luke try to burn the tree that have the ancient Jedi text, Yoda did by summon a lightning on the tree. Yoda told Luke that “Failure is the greater teacher” which allow Luke to use the force of the holograph to force Kylo Ren again on Craft and have reunited with Leia. Luke is unharm when Kylo Ren order AT-M6 walkers to blast him. Kylo Ren face Luke alone, Luke told his nephew is wrong, the rebellion is reborn today, the war is just a beginning and he is not the last Jedi before disappearing. Luke, on Ahch-To, become the one with the force along with Qui Gon, Obi Wan, Yoda and Anakin.
